Information: The WPPSI-II is a reliable and valid measure of intelligence in young children that is more age appropriate and user friendly for young children. It is a clinically useful tool for diagnosis and planning in early childhood. It helps to assess school readiness and general intelligence in young children.
The WPPSI –III gives an overall IQ score and Verbal and Performance Scores. In general
- Full Scale IQ score is a representative of general intellectual functioning.
- The Verbal IQ score is acquired knowledge, verbal reasoning and comprehension, and attention to verbal stimuli.
- The Performance IQ Score measures fluid reasoning, spatial processing, attentiveness to detail, and visual-motor integration.
